Mazomanie, Wis. (June 10, 2015) –Wick Buildings Inc. is pleased to announce that Tom Wick is celebrating his 49th work anniversary. In an era where people change jobs and employers every 4.6 years on average, an anniversary of this magnitude is almost unheard of. Tom Wick, no relation to John F. Wick and the Wick family ownership of Wick Buildings Inc., started on a Wick Buildings construction crew at age 18. Mr. Wick worked his way up through the organization assuming increasing management roles until he became general manager in 1996 and joined the Wick Buildings Board of Directors in 2010.
“Tom Wick has provided steady leadership and in both times of great prosperity and adversity in the construction industry. Tom also has delivered post-frame industry leadership and was recognized for his contributions to the betterment of the industry by being inducted to the Rural Builder Hall of Fame in 2009,” stated John F. Wick, the founder of Wick Buildings and also a member of the Rural Builder Hall of Fame.
In 2015 Tom Wick was welcomed into the Wick Buildings Hall of Fame for his lifelong commitment to the improvement of Wick Buildings Inc. Mr. Wick announced that he will retire in 2015, leaving the organization with a strong legacy and in the capable leadership of Jeff Farquhar, currently in the role of Assistant General Manager.
“Over the past 49 years the greatest memories involve the people at Wick Buildings. Over the years I have developed strong relationships with fellow Wick employees, Wick’s builders and even many of our customers,” stated Tom Wick. “When it comes down to it, I firmly believe it’s the culture of the organization that makes it a great place to work and allows Wick to provide the best quality and service to our building customers.”
